My Approach
I earned my diploma in Integrative Counselling from Inter-Psyche Training Institute, an accredited course with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. My training encompassed humanistic or person-centred, psychodynamic, existential, and cognitive approaches. What do these approaches mean individually?
-
Humanistic Counselling: Focuses on fostering self-awareness and personal growth by viewing individuals as inherently capable of achieving their full potential.
-
Psychodynamic Counselling: Explores unconscious thoughts, emotions, and past experiences to understand and resolve current psychological challenges.
-
Existential Counselling: Helps clients address fundamental questions about meaning, choice, and responsibility to navigate life’s challenges authentically.
-
Cognitive Approaches in Counselling: Concentrates on identifying and reshaping unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs to improve emotional well-being and behavior.
So what does this mean without the jargon?
This integrative, holistic method enables me to connect with clients as an individual, whole person - considering their unique experiences, thoughts, emotions, and personal narratives - while supporting their journey toward growth and healing in a way that respects their individuality and life context.
I currently offer online sessions via Google Meet, each lasting 50 minutes. Our first session will be where we can discuss what your needs are within therapy, our mutual agreements of our work together and whether we both feel we are the right match for each other. While sessions are ideally scheduled weekly at the same time, we can discuss any accommodations during our initial meeting.
Prices
Sessions are £50 per hour.
Concessionary rates may be available for those on low income and students - please feel free to get in contact to discuss this.
